What the First
Experiment Actually
Shows You.

The sixth transmission from The Dispatch. The data isn't in whether you can hold the ten minutes. It's in the first ninety seconds.

The second diagnostic in the protocol is simple.

Ten minutes. No phone in the room. No swap — no laptop, no tablet. Just the ten minutes and whatever was already there.

You've probably done something like this before. Maybe intentionally, maybe by accident. A meeting that ran long. A dead battery you didn't notice until you were already somewhere quiet. A morning you just didn't reach for it right away.

The data isn't in whether you can hold the ten minutes.

The data is in the first ninety seconds. The reach that happens before you've decided to reach. The hand that moves on its own. The background check that runs without a prompt — not because you were bored, not because you were expecting anything, just because the motion had become automatic.

That's what DIAG-02 actually shows you. Not your willpower. Not your discipline. The shape of the reflex itself. Where it fires. How fast. What triggers it.

Most people are surprised by how specific it is.

The gravity wells.

The experiment this week moves the apps off the home screen. Not delete — just move. One layer deeper, behind a folder, somewhere that requires an extra step.

What you're watching for isn't whether the habit breaks. It's which ones you navigate to anyway without thinking. Three taps instead of one and you still end up there.

Those are the gravity wells. The ones running on something deeper than convenience.

The ones you don't go back for tell you something too.

EXP-05 // APP DELETION // OBSERVATION ONLY

Two solid data points about how the reflex actually runs in your specific environment.

DIAG-02 shows you the shape of the reflex. EXP-05 shows you which reflexes have gravity.

Run them back to back and the picture gets specific fast.

If you want to run all twelve, the full 7-Day Planner is free at slateandsilicon.com. It uses your actual Screen Time data. It doesn't tell you what to think. It just shows you what's already there.
